Cuban Art Unbound opened November 13, and we are delighted to welcome visitors to this landmark exhibition celebrating the 25th anniversary of the American Friends of the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba (AFLFC).
On view until December 13, the exhibition features more than 60 artworks—including paintings, prints, sculptures, and mixed-media pieces—by some of the most critical voices in contemporary Cuban art. Among them: Belkis Ayón, Sandra Ramos, Carlos Quintana, Esterio Segura, Adrián Fernández, Ariamna Contino, Alex Hernández, Yoan Capote, Roger Toledo, Rigoberto Mena, Manuel Mendive, and many more. We invite you to experience this dynamic and powerful collection before the exhibition closes.
Cuban Art Unbound honors the creativity and resilience of the artists who have helped AFLFC build cultural bridges between Cuba, the United States, and the international community.
Featuring works that transcend borders—geographical, political, and artistic— the exhibition explores themes of identity, migration, resilience, and memory. Rooted in Cuba’s rich artistic heritage and shaped by global influences, these pieces embody the innovative and free spirit that defines Cuban art today.
