AFLFC has been working tirelessly for nearly two decades to build educational and cultural bridges between the U.S. and Cuba through varied programs and initiatives in the visual and performing arts. Due to changes in the travel regulations between the two countries, we have had to spend some time reflecting on our role in this new environment. We emerged from this period of introspection more determined than ever to fulfill our mission. As the newly imposed travel restrictions reduce the number of people able to travel to Cuba, we believe it necessary to create as many opportunities as possible to facilitate cultural exchange between the two countries via our trips, exhibitions, film festivals, and artist residencies.
