Acting Technique and Creative Movement
New acting concepts incorporating creative movements were introduced to Cuban actors, acting students, directors and technicians. (2001)
 
Appraising Art
Past and current presidents of the Appraisers Association of America conducted a three-day seminar on appraisal methods used to value fine art. In attendance were Cuban museum personnel, gallery directors, professors, artists, members of the National Council of Fine Arts, and the Ministry of Culture. (2001-2003)
 
Art & Literature: Derek Walcott's Omeros
Held at the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), the seminar examined the parallels between classical and Caribbean culture. A slide presentation was conducted illustrating the principal motifs of Derek Wolcott's epic work and provided Cuban students with a glimpse of another Caribbean island, St. Lucia, Wolcott's home and the main setting for his work. A three-day workshop for Cuban visual artists, filmmakers and writers on intellectual property law and the legal and business implications of their art in the international art market. (2001)

Cuban Culture, Challenges in the New Millenium
Dr. Armando Hart Davalos, former Cuban Minister of Culture and current director of the Jose Martí Program in Havana provided a public lecture at Hunter College on the history and development of Cuban art education since 1959, and the ongoing concerns and new trends during his visit as a guest at the United Nations. (2000)
 
New Media Technology
Rhode Island School of Design conducted a seminar at the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba introducing new trends in the artistic use of new media technology. The seminar was held several months after the International Video-Art Festival allowing Cuban artists to receive technical information on the new medium. (2001)
 
Robert Wilson's Summer Program, The Water Mill Center
As part of the American Friends of the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba New York Artist Program, two Cuban theater professionals attended the final rehearsal of Robert Wilson's The White Raven. The program included a four-day visit to the summer program at the Water Mill Center where they observed Wilson's method for creating workspaces, conducting workshops and educational programs, while working on many different projects. Known as a mythical figure in Cuba, this opportunity to see Wilson's methods and work was "like a dream for a Cuban." (2001)
 
Script Writing and Acting
A workshop for Cuban filmmakers and theater professionals on script writing and acting was given by the Chair of the Department of Dramatic Writing, Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. (2001-2004)
